Learn more about protecting your vehicle
If your vehicle is within 41 months of its warranty start date (the date the vehicle was delivered to its original owner) and has less than 41,000 miles, you can purchase a plan.
If your vehicle is a Lincoln, the time frames are slightly different.
If your Lincoln is within 53 months of its warranty start date (the date the vehicle was delivered to its original owner) and has less than 55,000 miles, you can purchase a plan.
If your vehicle has outside the miles or months from warranty start date listed, it is not eligible for a Granger Warranty Extended Service plan.
If you purchase a Granger Warranty Extended Service plan, your warranty begins from your vehicle’s original in-service date and mileage. This is the date and mileage when a dealer first sold the vehicle as new. Coverage expires at the earlier of the number of months purchased or the number of miles purchased.
For example: Your vehicle’s warranty start date is July 1, 2022 and the odometer reads 10,000 miles. You purchase a 5-Year / 100,000-Mile Premium Care plan on November 1, 2022. Your coverage starts on July 1, 2022 and expires on June 30, 2027 or when your odometer reads 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

Granger Warranty is an online division of Granger Motors, a family-owned, multi-franchise dealership in Granger, Iowa that has served customers for generations.
We built our business on relationships and repeat customers — not maximizing profit on a single sale. That’s why we offer genuine factory-backed extended service contracts at transparent, competitive pricing.
To date, Granger Warranty has sold over $100 million in extended service contracts, helping drivers nationwide protect their vehicles with coverage backed by the manufacturer.
As the #1 online seller of extended coverage, our goal is simple: earn your trust, protect your vehicle, and take care of you long after the sale.
Once you submit an order to us it is reviewed by our staff. It is then electronically submitted to the plan administrator. Once approved we email you a copy of the contract within 7 business days. Your VIN number will tie your vehicle to your warranty in the plan administrator’s vehicle database. You’ll receive a warranty card that you can provide to the mechanic or dealership performing the repairs.
The plans we offer are genuine factory-backed extended service contracts, with coverage administered by the manufacturer and backed by the obligor, American Road Insurance Company (ARIC).
American Road Insurance Company is the largest provider of factory-backed extended vehicle service contracts in the United States and works with multiple major automotive manufacturers. That means your coverage is not a third-party aftermarket policy — it’s manufacturer-backed protection designed to work seamlessly with authorized dealerships nationwide.
When you purchase through Granger Warranty, you’re getting the same factory-backed coverage available at a dealership, simply offered at a more competitive price and without high-pressure finance office markups.
Granger Warranty uses OEM (original manufacturer) parts and pays the dealer’s standard warranty labor rate with no labor rate caps. This means repairs are completed with factory-quality parts and you won’t face surprise charges from the dealership for uncovered labor differences.
This may be because of a typo in the information you entered, your vehicle was recently purchased and is not in our system yet, or your vehicle is not eligible for the plan you selected.
However, you still may be eligible to purchase a Granger Warranty Extended Service Plan. Contact us at 515-717-8246 or sales@grangerwarranty.com and one of our sales representatives can assist you.
If you purchase a new vehicle Granger Warranty Extended Service plan, your warranty begins from your vehicle’s original in-service date and mileage.
Your deductible is paid per warranty visit, and not per item. So if you have a $100 deductible, and have two warranty issues you would pay the $100 deductible just once on that visit.
Contracts can be modified as long as you are still under the 3 Year/36,000 mile factory warranty for most makes or 4 Year/50,000 mile factory warranty for Lincolns. Once you are past that the plans are locked, and no changes can be made. For modifying a contract we charge a $50 fee.
Florida regulations require vehicle service contracts to be sold at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. If your vehicle is registered in Florida, please contact us directly and we’ll provide pricing and coverage details.
California has unique regulations that require vehicle service contracts to be sold by dealerships licensed in the state. Because Granger Warranty is licensed in Iowa and not California, we are not permitted to sell coverage to California residents.
